We did stop in Wasilla, home of Sarah Pallin. We had planned to go by her house but after already traveling 5 hours, with about five to go, we decided no. I did get a picture of the welcome sign and got my girls a Wasilla t-shirt apiece. I'm sure they will each be happy with them, but for entirely different reasons.
As we drove closer to Denali, we could see it in the distance. We stopped at a Princess Lodge and got some great photos. The summit was clear! We found out that the summit can only be seen about 20-30 % of the time.
I attempted to load pictures last night and it didn't work. I'm going to try again tonight (Friday). Once again, I just can't get over this light. It is 11 p.m. and bright daylight outside. Amazing.
